Nikon Vs Canon: Which Is The Best DSLR For Beginners?

The most common confusion arises when one wants to buy a DSLR is, Canon or Nikon. The most common and popular brands for DSLR are Nikon and Canon. This is very simple to arise such kind of confusion because both companies make excellent DSLR in same price range.

So which brand of DSLR you actually want to buy? This one is the most important question. Basically, a brand is not a big deal if you know the purpose of buying DSLR. So many expert professional photographer sometimes confused to say which one is best. So if you are a novice, then it’s very simple to confuse.

If you want to buy a new one but not determine which one you want to buy, here  I want to assist you to choose the best one for you. When comparing Canon vs. Nikon side-by-side, there are a lot of similarities, like solid image quality and a wide range of accessories, but there’s a lot of differences too. Here I discuss the difference of this two body.

Nikon Vs Canon: Sensor

The size of the sensor that a camera has ultimately determined how much light it uses to create an image.Both Nikon & Canon used similar sensor size in their cameras. When canon uses large sensor than Nikon also do the same thing. Most of the Nikon DSLR camera use the APS-C sensor. Both crop and full frame Nikon body they use the APS-C sensor.

Canon’s latest DSLRs, on the other hand, seem more focused on the megapixels. Most of Canon’s DSLRs still use an optical low pass filter, though there are options like the Canon EOS 5DS R that do without. So canon basically focuses on megapixels. Simply a higher megapixel provides more details image.

Nikon VS Canon: operation

There are some typical differences between operation of Nikon and canon. Not only operation but also terminology also different from Nikon to Canon. In Nikon Shutter, prioraty mode indicates through “S” whereas Canon indicates it as “TV”mode. On the other hand, Nikon use VR (Vibration Reduction) terminology wheres canon use Image Stabilization both terminiloghy indicate Vibration reduction

There’s also often a significant difference in battery life, with Nikon’s generally able to take more shots on a single charge. But recently canon also introduce 1300D for long battery life.

Nikon VS Canon: Video Quality

Most of the videographer like canon for better video quality. Because autofocus system is very good in canon video mode whereas Nikon is not good enough. On the other hand sharpness also extremely outstanding in canon. Recently Nikon has introduced 60fps frame rate for smoother motion. As we know canon traditionally offer the better video quality but Nikon’s latest development put them closer.

Nikon VS Canon: Entry-Level DSLRs

Currently, the most cheapest DSLR in Nikon is D3300. On the other hand, in Canon side, 1300D is most cheapest DSLR. Here is a short list from both side Nikon and Canon DSLR for beginners.

Nikon D3300 VS Canon 1300D

So if your budget is not more than  $600, then Nikon D3300 or Canon 1300D (known as EOS Rebel T6) is the best chose for you. More or less both will give you the same feedback. Currently, the most cheapest DSLR in Canon family is 1300D. On the other hand in Nikon family, D3300 is less costly.

On the contrary, Nikon D3300 and D3400 almost same configuration with is the same price range. For example, both the D3300 and D3400 have 24MP sensors and can shoot at 5fps, and each is furnished with an 11-point AF system.

Nikon D5600 vs. Canon 750D

So if you have a budget of more than $600 for your new DSLR than here is a variety of DSLR. But in Nikon and Canon, you may buy Nikon D5600 or Canon 750D/760D. There is some distinguishing feature between D5600 and 750D, but both will give you almost same output. Canon 750D is also known as Kiss X8i.

Though both are entry level DSLR there are some special features. Here I want to show some major features of Nikon D5600 and Canon D750D.

The most popular entry-level come mid-range DSLR in both Nikon and Canon line up. If your budget more than $800 then you can buy this extremely good DSLRs. Canon 80D is released in March 2016. But in a short time, it makes a good popularity. On the other hand, Nikon D7200 is very popular DSLR for entry level photographer. But professional photohra[pher also prefer D7200.
